Story of the Inventor:Naismith's first job was a canadian physical educaton instructer. He was born november 6, 1861.  He died November 28, 1939.He graduated at McGill University. He also graduated at Presbyterian seminary.

Story of the Invention:The first basketball was a soccer ball. The very first offical game was in Berlin, Germany in the olmpics. The first basket was a peach basket. It was invented because he wanted an activity to do during the winter or his students. 

Naismith was given orders to create a indoor sport to keep athletes active.  Dr. Luther Gulick gave him the orders.

Story of the Impact of the Invention:It made thousands of jobs for peoples. It is a professional sport in america and in the olympics.

Story of the Future of the Invention;They will start making billions in about five years. The sport will grow all over the world as a national sport.
