Story of the Inventor:George Washington Carver was a young man who grew up as a slave. When he was a child he was kidnaped. He was traded back to his owners for a race horse. He had a secrete garden in the woods and he attended Simpson College. Also when he gratuaded he was offered a job at the school. In 1897 he descovered the crop rotation method.
Story of the Invention: Because of crop rotation farmers had too many peanuts and needed a way to get rid of them. Carver was determened to find uses for peanuts. In a week he had developed over a dozen uses for peanuts. These uses included ink, milk, cheese, and shampoo.
Over time he invented over 300 uses including facial cream.
Story of the Impact of the Invention: George Washington Carver invented uses for peanuts that we still use today like organic shampoo, soap, and oil. A lot of beauty producs that are all natural owe something to Carver.
Story of the Future of the Invention: As long as people want enviromently friendly products people will still use Carver's formula for soap and other products. We think his inventions will be around still in the future.
