Story of the Inventor:Ben was born on January 17,1706. He died on April 17, 1790. Ben was an american founding father. He started the first circulating library. He invented bifocals. He was the tenth son of soap maker.

 

 

 

 

Story of the Invention:He discovered two types of electricity +and -. In 1746 he stumbled upon some experiments to  try. He used machines he found in his  house. The lightning  rod is 8-10 ft tall. It was sharpened to a point.

 

 

 

 

Story of the Impact of the Invention: It saved lives from eletric shock. It protects power lines from power surges.

 

 

 

 

 

Story of the Future of the Invention:They should put them on schools for protection. We could put them on our houses. The Lightning rod is one of the World's best inventions.
